David Nestor, who serves as the executive vice president & chief operating officer for Enterprise Mobility, oversees global operations, global franchising, business rental, replacement & leisure sales and product & mobility solutions. He was elevated to his current role in 2022 after more than 36 years with the organization.
Nestor began his career as a management trainee with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in 1985 and gradually earned greater responsibility in various roles throughout the country. He served as a regional vice president from 1993-96, when he accepted a role as Chicago’s vice president of rental. In 2001, Nestor was promoted to the top job with Enterprise’s Nevada subsidiary. Two years later, he moved to the headquarters in St. Louis as corporate vice president to oversee the company’s Southeast subsidiaries.
In 2004, Nestor was promoted to senior vice president and, in 2008, he assumed responsibility for the organization’s West Coast operations. In 2013, he earned the additional responsibility of overseeing the organization’s airport operations. In 2016, Nestor was elevated to senior vice president of North American operations overseeing operations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. He then served as executive vice president for global operations from 2019 until assuming his current position.
Always eager to give back, Nestor currently contributes his expertise as a board member for Our Little Haven, an organization committed to providing a safe, secure and healing environment for children suffering from the tragedy of abuse.
Nestor earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Wright State University.
