As senior vice president and chief administrative officer, Steve Brackney oversees the organization’s global risk management, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital investing and corporate communications.
Brackney serves on the Crawford Group board of directors. He also oversees Deem, an innovative managed-travel technology platform that Enterprise Holdings acquired in 2019.
In 2001, Brackney joined Enterprise as corporate controller and four years later was promoted to senior vice president. In 2007, when Enterprise acquired the National and Alamo brands, Brackney helped lead the integration of the newly expanded tri-branded fleet. Throughout his tenure, Brackney has worked closely with the mergers and acquisitions team on valuations and due diligence. In 2018, he was promoted to his current position.
Over the years, Brackney has also taken on leadership roles in civic and community organizations. He served as a member of the Executive Committee as well as chair of the Finance Committee for the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Brackney earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University and launched his professional financial career at Ernst & Young. He was a partner at the firm for four years where he managed the Enterprise Rent-A-Car account.
