For the second year in a row, Enterprise Holdings sponsored St. Louis PrideFest – a local event which aims to raise the understanding and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals in the community.
“I think it’s fantastic that Enterprise supports PrideFest,” says IT Senior Manager Amy H., who participated in the PrideFest activities with her sister, Fleet Management Customer Service Supervisor Cindy W. “It shows support for our diverse workforce and the inclusion of not only our employees, but our customers as well.”
To support this sponsorship, about 115 Enterprise Holdings employees and their family and friends walked in the Pride Parade as part of the Enterprise team.
Spectators cheered as the Enterprise group made their way along the route wearing matching t-shirts and driving decorated rental cars. One young man in the crowd even yelled, “You pick us up!” as they passed by.
“At Enterprise, we are proud of our diversity and inclusion efforts and excited to share that pride with the community in which we live and do business,” says AVP of Diversity and Inclusion Chris T.
“The support and energy during the event was incredible,” says Amy. “I am proud to be part of a company that supports the LGBT community.”
