Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Diesel (Bus/Truck) Automotive Technician!  The Diesel Auto Tech performs car service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and vehicle reconditioning service according to company policy and procedures. The position requires the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative and performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our quality standards. Minimal customer interaction involved. This position is located at our Service Center - 7001 Essington Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19153.

 

We offer hourly pay - we are not a flat rate shop, get paid for the time you work - we offer overtime!

 

Total pay for this role is $36.00 / hour for:

  • Diesel / Bus Auto Tech with 5 years of experience and 4 ASE certifications OR 
  • Diesel / Bus Auto Tech with 5 years of experience and 1 OEM bus/diesel certification
    • With 12 months to complete 4 Diesel ASE certifications to maintain being a Diesel / Bus Auto Tech.  We will pay for this training/testing while working for us.

In addition, you can earn:

  • $2.00 / hour for each additional Truck ASE certification.
  • $5.00 / hour more working both Saturday and Sunday.
  • $5.00 / hour for overnight work on 3rd shift.

Technicians also receive $500 tool allowance every year!

We are offering 3 schedule options for this role:  

 

Schedules Available:

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM  
  • Any 3 weekdays, plus Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM  
  • Any 3 weekdays, plus Saturday and Sunday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM  

  • Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.
  • Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
  • Read and interpret diagnostic test results, often by using dials, gauges, and other computer equipment.
  • Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles.
  • Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts.
  • Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize multiple manufacturers’ websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
  • Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.
  • Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards. 
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Follow proper procedures to comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of five years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks.
  • Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
  • Certifications required:
    • 4 ASE Certifications OR 
    • 1 OEM / bus certification training required with the commitment to complete 4 Truck ASE’s within 12 months.
  • PA State Inspection license (required within the first 90 days of employment)
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able understand, read, write, and speak English.
  • Subject to a pre-employment drug test and if hired, will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work one of the schedules listed.
