As wildfires continue to rage in California and cause widespread devastation, Enterprise Mobility teams on the ground are working diligently to determine the best ways to support the local community. This includes providing vehicles to support first responders, infrastructure repair crews and other emergency response officials with their immediate disaster recovery efforts. Enterprise Mobility is also working with our partners to respond to vehicle needs in the region, supporting those who have suffered damage or loss of their personal vehicles and for other immediate mobility needs they might have.
"We are committed to supporting our local communities during this difficult time of natural disaster. Our teams have been working tirelessly to keep our business running so we are able to support those affected by these wildfires," said Steven Tudela, senior vice president of North American operations at Enterprise Mobility. "Providing safe, reliable transportation alternatives is just one way we can help bring some peace of mind during this unprecedented crisis, and we are proud to be able to play a part in the recovery efforts."
In response to the crisis, the Enterprise Mobility Foundation donated $1 million to the American Red Cross, which has approximately 680 workers on the ground helping to provide shelter, food, water, relief supplies, emotional support and financial assistance for those in the affected areas. These funds are in addition to the Enterprise Mobility Foundation’s annual $1 million gift to the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program.
"We are devastated by this ongoing crisis and send our deepest condolences to everyone who has lost their loved ones, their homes and businesses in this unprecedented disaster," said Carolyn Kindle, president of the Enterprise Mobility Foundation. "Through our donation to the American Red Cross, we hope to provide critical assistance and bring some much-needed relief to those impacted."
