"Enterprise Mobility has built its reputation on putting our customers and employees first and providing exceptional service," said Haughey.
Truck rental, which was introduced in 2016, has experienced significant growth statewide with four locations and operations on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island.
Introduced in 2015, Commute with Enterprise now operates across four islands and helps take an estimated 800 to 1,000 single-occupancy vehicles off Hawaiʻi’s roadways each day. Commute is supported by the extensive Enterprise Rent-A-Car neighborhood network, which helps organizations and riders overcome commuting and transit desert challenges while providing an unmatched level of fleet flexibility and local service.
Another hallmark of the business’ community engagement: Supporting the U.S. military.
Enterprise’s military history is rooted in its founder Jack Taylor’s experience as a decorated World War II Navy Hellcat fighter pilot. The brand “Enterprise” honors the ship he served on – the USS Enterprise. Taylor applied the lessons he learned in the Navy about honor, respect and integrity to create what has become the world’s largest vehicle rental business.
The business’ long history of support includes a $50,000 donation from the Foundation to Pacific Historic Parks on behalf of the 75th Commemoration of the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor. Enterprise Mobility continues to honor Taylor’s legacy by supporting military members and their families across Hawaiʻi in a variety of ways, including:
- An annual volunteer project to support the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
- Supporting and sponsoring the Navy League of the U.S. – Honolulu Council
- A partnership with Waikiki Community Center to lay ti leaf lei on the graves of fallen veterans each Memorial Day
