Thousands of Young People Reached Through Growing ROAD Forward Partnerships

Whether it’s helping students afford college, connecting youth with mentors or putting books into children's hands, Enterprise Mobility's ROAD Forward initiative is creating access to opportunities that can open doors for young people.

Just one year after expanding its network of key partners, the initiative is already making a greater impact in communities across seven countries. Together, these partners, along with local organizations, have reached thousands of young people through programming focused on early childhood education, youth health and wellness, and career and college preparation.

Since 2020, ROAD Forward has invested $84 million in more than 1,150 organizations across North America and Europe, helping advance social equity where Enterprise Mobility operates.

“Our expanded network of key partners has already made a real difference in advancing youth health and education in our communities,” said Enterprise Mobility Foundation President Carolyn Kindle. “This progress builds on the strong relationships our local teams have developed with these partners over the years.”

Across our network, key partners are delivering meaningful results for youth and families. Here are a few examples:

  • Thurgood Marshall College Fund (United States): Through ROAD Forward, Thurgood Marshall College Fund is providing need-based scholarships to help remove financial barriers for students and support academic success. For the 2026-2027 academic year, 115 scholarships will be awarded to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and community colleges.

  • JA Canada (Canada): JA Canada delivers hands-on learning experiences to help students learn about money, work and business. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the organization delivered more than 31,000 learning experiences across the country — exceeding its annual target and reaching youth in every province. Through digital learning, classroom-based facilitation and experiential events, its programs focused on career readiness, post-secondary preparation and mental well-being.

  • The Girls’ Network (United Kingdom): The Girls’ Network inspires and empowers girls by connecting them to a mentor and a network of professional female role models. This academic year, they reached more than 1,100 girls, helping them to build confidence, strengthen decision-making skills and form meaningful connections. Program results showed a significant increase in girls feeling confident about taking steps toward their goals.

  • Children’s Books Ireland (Ireland): Children’s Books Ireland helps rebuild schoolbook collections, invest in local children’s authors and illustrators and ensure students can take books home to enjoy and keep. Recently, they delivered 3,500 books to students in 91 schools nationwide, expanding access to reading materials and creating a greater sense of ownership, connection and community around literacy.

  • Sport Dans la Ville (France): Sports Dans la Ville uses sports as an entry point to connect young people with programs focused on education, career readiness, leadership development and more. This season, the organization engaged 11,590 participants in sports programs, a 9% increase year over year. Additionally, they provided 2,880 young people with dedicated employment and career advisors, as well as mentors.

  • Children for a Better World (Germany): Children for a Better World is combating child poverty, promoting social engagement and encouraging children’s participation in society and decision-making. In 2025, their lunch programs provided more than 5,000 children with hot meals every day. Additionally, children could use these safe, communal spaces to receive cooking lessons, homework help and opportunities for playful learning.

  • Fundación Generali The Human Safety Net España (Spain): Fundación Generali The Human Safety Net España supports families at risk of poverty, particularly those with children under the age of six. In one of its early childhood programs, 75% of mothers reported increased confidence in their parenting role, helping foster more positive environments for their children.

Enterprise Mobility’s 70+ operating groups also help direct grant funding to local organizations. This approach empowers team members to identify the organizations best equipped to address social equity gaps in their neighborhoods.

Beyond grant funding, many Enterprise Mobility team members also support ROAD Forward partners through volunteerism, collection drives and community events.

“What makes ROAD Forward so special is our recognition that the experts are already in our communities. Our role is to listen, learn and support their work,” said Enterprise Mobility Chief Diversity Officer Errin Braddock. “By combining philanthropic investments with the time, talent and engagement of our team members, we create partnerships that go beyond a donation and help strengthen communities in a meaningful and lasting way."

Looking ahead, ROAD Forward remains focused on driving meaningful change. By 2030, nearly $165 million will be granted to local nonprofits and 18 global key partners.
