Collision Engineering Career Alliance

Uniting Industry & Education to Meet Talent Demand

The Collision Engineering Career Alliance is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization driving a collaborative movement to strengthen the future of collision repair through industry-driven education.

In fall 2020, the Collision Engineering program was introduced by the Enterprise Mobility Foundation and Ranken Technical College in St. Louis as a pilot at four schools across the United States. The unique program is designed to help address the demand for highly skilled collision repair technicians; more than 100,000 job openings are expected through 2028. Since the pilot launch, 87.5% of enrolled students have completed the program. Of those, 100% have achieved job placement before graduation.

Philanthropic contributions to the Collision Engineering Career Alliance enable the recruitment of more students, expansion to more schools across the nation and support of student success factors, including costs of certifications and assessments, quality-of-life needs and tuition reimbursement.

Industry Partners

Collaborating across the collision repair industry, the Collision Engineering Career Alliance is committed to addressing industry challenges alongside its valued industry partners. The Alliance partners with insurance providers, collision repair facilities, educational institutions and other industry organizations to ensure students obtain the specific skills and knowledge required in the collision repair field. Partners also provide mentorship opportunities, additional professional development and invaluable funding to amplify the program impact.

  • Ford Philanthropy: Support from Ford through Ford Philanthropy offers Parkland students access to scholarships in addition to covering program startup costs, instructor training, school equipment such as lab materials and student-centered resources such as toolkits, uniforms, PPE, certifications, tuition assistance and assessments.
  • Crash Champions: Collision Engineering was the primary beneficiary of the Crash Champions 2024 Charity Golf Outing. The $200,000 contribution marked the event’s first contribution to Collision Engineering as part of Crash Champions’ growing commitment to support the organization. The gift is the single largest donation in the 11-year history of the Crash Champions Charity Golf Outing.
  • Mitchell: An in-kind software donation of more than $1.5 million across seven participating United States partner colleges empowers students to excel in their future collision repair careers by providing them with access to the latest industry technology.
Addressing the increasing demand for a highly skilled collision repair workforce is critical to ensuring the future of mobility. Through the Collision Engineering Career Alliance, we invite industry partners to join Enterprise Mobility in helping create a pipeline of highly skilled, motivated and passionate collision repair professionals.
