Enterprise Appoints Renzo Roncal as New Vice President and General Manager for Spain

Enterprise Holdings, the world’s largest car rental company, today announced the appointment of Renzo Roncal as its new Vice President and General Manager for Spain. Roncal will take the helm of the business at a time when Enterprise continues to invest in and incorporate new mobility technologies, and look to grow its Corporate, Replacement and Month or More divisions in our country. He will also play a crucial role in positioning the company within the wider mobility landscape in Spain.

Prior to this appointment, Roncal was Vice President of Rental for Spain – a position he moved to Madrid for in February 2018. Roncal has played a pivotal role in the business development in Spain, its strategic expansion and the consolidation of the customer service culture. Most recently, he has led the company´s response to the pandemic and subsequent recovery in our country. Roncal succeeds Vincent LaBella, who after an extraordinary performance at the head of the company, has returned to the Unites States where he has been appointed Vice President/General Manager for Nevada.

Roncal joined Enterprise in 1999 as a Management Trainee in South Florida. He rose quickly to become Regional Rental Manager. In 2013, he moved to Boston as Regional Vice President and helped the region achieve on-rent milestones and record customer service scores. In September 2016, Roncal moved to Europe as Vice President of Franchise Operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and helped to transform Enterprise´s franchise partners’ service culture before moving to Spain.

Renzo Roncal said: “There’s a huge opportunity to expand our market share with businesses, insurance companies and automotive dealers in Spain. Over the last few years we’ve restructured our network and consolidated our business model to provide customers with an integrated network which combines the strength of Enterprise´s facilities and the proximity represented by our nearly 100 branches around the territory. Our goal is to play a strategic role by providing local transportation alternatives and we´ll continue to look for opportunities to expand our business and improve customer experience.”

Mike Nigro, Senior Vice President for Europe, Enterprise Holdings, said: “Renzo is a proven leader who has helped to transform our culture with a focus on driving customer service excellence. In addition to his tremendous reputation within Enterprise in terms of leadership and business performance, he has a history of building strong and enthusiastic teams."
