To recognize the pivotal role of military spouses in supporting their partners, we celebrate Amanda, a Reservation Sales Rep at Enterprise Mobility, and a proud active-duty Army spouse. Read on as Amanda shares her family's journey, which is a testament to the resilience and courage of military families. Let us recognize and appreciate military spouses like Amanda for their unwavering support and dedication.

Tell us about your experience as a military spouse.
My husband, Sergeant First Class (SFC) Thomas Rainwater, joined the Army in 2010, specializing in Air Defense Artillery. We've been married since 2009 and have two daughters, Ariana and Ava. The Army life has been an incredible journey for our family. We are currently stationed at Fort Sill, OK, and are due to change duty stations within the next year.

Since the beginning of my husband's career, we have been stationed in North Carolina, Kentucky, and Oklahoma. He has also been on unaccompanied tours to South Korea and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and our family has successfully been through three deployments. My husband is currently deployed and I look forward to his return.

My husband and I hold special recognition within the Air Defense Artillery community. In 2023, my husband was recognized with The Honorable Order of Saint Barbara. The order recognizes individuals who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character, displayed an outstanding degree of competence, and served the United States Army Air Defense Artillery Branch with selflessness. In 2013, I was recognized with The Honorable Order of Molly Pitcher. It acknowledges individuals who have voluntarily contributed significantly to improving the Air Defense Artillery community.

Throughout our time as a military family, we have faced various obstacles and challenges, but we have persevered. We have gained family and friends, and made memories that we will carry throughout our lives. Therefore, we are thankful for this life and look forward to our family's future.

What do you enjoy most about your career at Enterprise Mobility?
While networking with fellow military spouses, a friend of mine had mentioned how much she enjoyed her position with Enterprise Mobility and her positive experience with the organization. After listening to her testimony, I knew that this was the place for me.

Since joining the company, it has been a very fulfilling experience. Enterprise Mobility has provided me with a sense of purpose. The leadership team values our hard work and praises us for our accomplishments. The encouragement and recognition from the leadership team has pushed me to be successful in my current role. Also, Enterprise Mobility has empowered me to grow as an employee and individual by providing me the tools and space for learning and career development. I look forward to seeing where my career grows from here.

How have you felt supported by leaders and teammates?
The leadership team has supported me as a military spouse from the day I started with my team. They shared with me all the available resources that Enterprise Mobility has to offer through our benefits program. One of the resources that was shared with me was the Military Spouse Employee Resource Group. This group has created a positive space where past, present, and future spouses can connect. We are able to share experiences, offer advice and provide valuable resources to support one another!

What keeps you at Enterprise Mobility?
Enterprise Mobility has been a great opportunity for both myself and my family. My position has allowed me to find a perfect work-life balance as an employee, mother and active-duty military spouse. Working from home has also been a wonderful experience for our family during deployment time. Having at least one parent in the home has created stability for my children. Also, as a military family it is important to note that we are never stationary for long periods of time. With the flexibility of my position, it has allowed me a sense of security knowing that my position may move with us to our next duty station.

We are grateful for Amanda's service as an active-duty Army spouse and for sharing her inspiring journey through this blog. Let us continue to support and recognize the contributions of military spouses, who are vital to our nation.
