Carbon Offset Program

Sourcing Certified Carbon Credits

Enterprise Mobility offers a Carbon Offset Program that provides customers with the option to purchase carbon credits from third‑party offset projects.

These projects are intended to support activities that aim to avoid, reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions and report measurable emissions outcomes at project sites located in North America and Europe.*

* The projects are independently developed, operated, and verified by third parties and are outside of Enterprise Mobility’s direct operations or control. Participation in the Carbon Offset Program does not reduce or eliminate the greenhouse gas emissions generated by Enterprise Mobility’s operations, customer rental activity, or the vehicle fleets operated across its business lines.

About the Carbon Offset Program

When customers choose to participate in the Carbon Offset Program, an amount is calculated annually based on estimated average emissions per rental. That amount is used to purchase carbon credits sourced from third-party offset projects.

Each carbon credit represents one metric ton of carbon dioxide (or equivalent greenhouse gas) that is avoided, reduced or removed through an eligible project. These outcomes occur at the project level and are not a direct measure of emissions from any specific vehicle, rental or activity associated with Enterprise Mobility’s business lines.

Enterprise Mobility does not own, operate, or control the offset projects made available through the Carbon Offset Program.

Enterprise Mobility partners with Terrapass, a third‑party provider of carbon offset services, to source carbon credits from projects that meet established international carbon market standards.

The projects supported through this program may include:
• Landfill gas capture and destruction
• Agricultural projects designed to increase soil carbon storage
• Afforestation, reforestation, and improved forest management initiatives

Carbon credits offered through Terrapass are issued under recognized verification and certification standards, which may include:
• Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)
• Climate Action Reserve (CAR)
• American Carbon Registry (ACR)
• Gold Standard

These standards require third‑party validation and verification, defined project methodologies and ongoing monitoring and reporting to ensure credited emissions outcomes are measured and documented. Details regarding individual projects, methodologies, and verification bodies are available through the project‑specific disclosure links provided below.

Transparency is an important component of voluntary carbon markets. This information is provided to support public disclosure and transparency for customers, partners and other stakeholders in jurisdictions with existing or emerging requirements related to voluntary carbon market disclosures, including the European Union.

Each linked project page contains information on the project location and type, applicable verification standards, third-party verifiers and vintage years and credit issuance details.
